Stables Cottage is a comfortable child- and dog-friendly home for up to six people, with two double bedrooms and a sofa-bed.

There is an enclosed private garden behind the cottage

Deer, red squirrels, owls, badgers and hares are nearby, while the surrounding countryside is spectacular for walks and cycling.

Bikes can be stored under cover beside the cottage and car parking is easy, right outside in the courtyard.

The kitchen has a fridge/freezer, electric cooker, toaster, kettle, washing machine/dryer, pots, pans, crockery and cutlery for six.

The living room has two sofas in front of the multi-fuel stove, one a generous two-seater and the other a larger L-shaped sofa that converts easily into a double bed.

Stables Cottage is non-smoking inside, but guests are welcome to smoke outside.

Well-behaved dogs are welcome, but must not be left unattended in the cottage. They need to be on leads except in the garden, as there are free-range chickens in the grounds, plus sheep and cattle in the nearby fields.

Wifi, satellite TV, games and books are all available, and the multi-fuel stove is the heart of the central heating system and provides hot water (alongside the immersion heater) as well as being a welcoming warm centrepiece to the living room.

The bathroom has a bath and electric shower, and an electric wall heater.  There is one downstairs double bedroom, with level access to the bathroom, living room and the lobby for boots and coats by the front door, although there are two steps into the cottage and up to the kitchen from the living room.

Access to the garden is from the kitchen back door. Upstairs, the king-size double bed is in a bright, airy bedroom that overlooks the cottage garden.

There are stair-gates fitted to the top and bottom of the stairs but these are quite steep, so guests should make their own judgement on suitability for very young children or people with limited mobility.

We live in a house on the other side of the courtyard. We respect your privacy completely and will not get in your way, indeed you will rarely see us or anyone else as the area is very quiet, but if you do need anything just phone us and we will help if we possibly can. The cottage is completely separate and the cottage garden is very private and not overlooked.

Stables Cottage is two and a half miles from Samye Ling Monastery and Tibetan Centre, surrounded by beautiful walks and cycle routes directly from the property, with many more a short drive away.
